We went to a wedding out of town on Saturday and the reception was at a really neat hotel. In front of the hotel was parked this totally bitchen Excalibur limo. I asked J to take pics of me--here's one of the better ones...

The dress I'm wearing was purchased back in 2005. It is a size 10 and is now a little bit too big on me. This is my "go-to" skinny dress. Looks like soon I might have to go shopping for another one if there's another formal event coming up, as my "little black dress" is a size bigger at a size 12...

Tonight J and I went to Kohl's as I had a 20 percent off friends and family coupon--J needed button-downs for work and my size 10 petite jeans are loose so I figured I'd see if I fit into 8 petites. I did! They only had one pair in my size that was on sale so I took it. The tens aren't terribly loose and can still be worn with a belt, so I figure with one pair of eights for "fancy dress" I should be alright for awhile, at least until I can get to Farm and Fleet or Wal-Mart (ugh, I hates Wal-Mart) to try and find a couple more pairs of eights for winter...

So yeah--haven't weighed myself lately--must've lost more weight because I'm down a size in jeans! Yay!
I'm in need of smaller long-sleeve tops and had both a 20 percent off purchase coupon and $10 off coupon for Kohl's so I asked J to come with me over there to check out what they had.

I scored six tops altogether. Three embroidered henleys in navy, black and a fuschia/purple; a fuschia/purple embroidered tunic sort of top, a bright pink on black print sheer long sleeved top with a bright pink cami included and a black/white/turquoise long sleeved Daisy Fuentes tee. All were size medium save for the Daisy Fuentes tee; I'd tried on the medium and it fit alright but was a little tight around the hips and really tight in the forearms for some reason so I went for the large in that one. All the tops were on sale to boot! Total damage: $69 and change with a total savings of $98 and change. BAM!! Not too shabby!! :)

I've not been comfortable wearing anything smaller than a ladies' size large since high school until this past summer. Haven't been thin enough to really wear 'em, either, but I was buying mostly extra larges because when I was heavier I hid my shape under baggy clothing. So buying a bunch more tops in size medium is a huge milestone for me! They all fit comfortably in the tummy/hips, too. :) Pretty darn proud of myself for finally wearing clothes that actually fit my shape better and aren't hiding my body by being too baggy/large. :)

I'm still stunned that I've lost enough weight to fit them! All due to (usually) staying within or under my allotted calories for the day by counting calories on myfitnesspal.com along with the occasional jaunt on the treadmill. Speaking of which, I gotta get my butt back on the treadmill again sometime soon. Fell off that wagon in early July right before we went to CONvergence con and haven't gotten back on it again since. Haven't gained any weight, but with my fitbit counting my steps/activity on myfitnesspal if I don't exercise enough during the day it cuts some calories off my daily calorie count. :/ Fair enough, but makes it harder to stay within my limits. I'll be bowling once a week again starting next week, too, so that'll help with the calorie counting at least one day a week. ;)
