Picked up a Cyber Power 1300VA/810watts battery backup from Costco on Monday. So far so good--no random shutdowns since getting it set up! Not that we've noticed any brown outs or power fades since setting it up, but that's okay, too. It's the same brand as J's UPS, but a smaller model, I think. All I care is that it works and does what it's supposed to do! :)

Everything's great again, save for the noisy fan that can still manage to be quiet most of the time, but makes a pretty good racket on occasion. Time to replace it--gonna order one shortly.

So, yeah. Fingers crossed that my PC problems are actually solved for now...

First world problems, I tell ya... :/

We replaced the power supply yesterday afternoon. She ran well all afternoon and into the late evening...

...came into the office this morning to find her shut down again. Sometime in the night she'd powered herself off again...

Next step is to replace the UPS. We witnessed two power surges/brown outs last week and both times when the UPS should've powered on and taken over, she did not and the PC uncermoniously powered off. So that's why we're thinking that should be the next thing to replace.

Any and all suggestions are welcome at this point...Sigh...
