Annoyance: my two teammates (mother and daughter) decided to pre-bowl this afternoon so they could celebrate the daughter's husband's birthday this evening. I found out at 2:45 this afternoon. I had to go bowl so the team wasn't forfeit, so down the hatch with an anti-anxiety pill and off I went.
That being said, the team I bowled against was very helpful with entering in my teammates' scores (I don't know how to work the damned machines for that sort of thing it comes up so rarely and the mom of the duo usually handles that sort of thing.) and encouraging me when I was bowling. Great sportsmanship all around! I love that about my league...
It was week one of beat your average or whatever it's called wherein you have two weeks to bowl as many pins over your established YTD average as possible to win big prizes. Yeah...I bowled 1 pin under my average all tolled. :/

Still, not too shabby for going fast this week. I'm slowly getting more consistent with my scores and doing pretty good at being above average by a pin or two most games. :)
