Although this is a sanctioned league, it's supposed to be more of a fun league vs. a really competitive one. There's a few teams that are a real downer to play because they take things way too seriously and play way too competitively. The team we bowled tonight was one of those. They're much better bowlers than we are, so we knew pretty much that we were going to get skunked anyway, but there's one member of the team who makes it worse by being a sore winner. Last time we bowled the team we actually won one of the games, and her reaction (loud enough for us to hear): "Well at least we won the series!" (sounding all disappointed.) Well, sorrrry! I guess we should've tried harder to suck worse than we usually do in comparison to you.
She made no wise cracks this week, probably because they won all three games quite comfortably. Our whole team was way off the mark this week.
Oh well. Better luck next week. Only a few weeks left...
