And she'd been doing so well, too, dammit! Eating well with only a couple of doses of Cyproheptadine (appetite stimulant) over the last month or so, downloading nicely and mostly in the box...

She barfed her lunch and her evening meds (Benazepril, Famotidine, and 3ccs of Enulose) so, as a precaution, I gave her a dose of the anti-nausea med Cerenia about an hour after her last barfing at 1950. She has to wait two hours to try eating again, so her fluids will be a bit delayed tonight (we feed as a reward after fluids are administered) but oh wells.

She normally gets four feeds per day, but we got home a bit later than normal from shelter duty/lunch/errands today so it ended up only being three today. And, of course, on the day we short them a feed she barfs a feed. :/ I really hope she eats her post-fluids feed and that she keeps it down, elsewise it's a call to the vet in the AM.

Poor sweet girl...

It's been awhile since I updated, so I reckon it's time for an update on the other two fur kids in the family.

DIVA: Doing well, mostly taking her fluids and other meds like a champ. Downloading as she should be, even when she was boarded while we were out of town over Easter weekend. Hasn't needed the appetite stimulant but a couple of times over the last month or so. She's probably overdue for a short blood panel to check her kidneys as she hasn't had bloodwork done since January it looks like according to my notebook, but since she seems to be doing fine I don't see a reason to bring her to the vet unless they suggest it.

RA: After being barfy while on the Baytril and the hyperthyroid med initially (we figured out it was the Baytril that was making him barf most likely), he's adjusted well to his new med regimen. He's not very fond of two pills in the morning (he wants to eat his breakfast, dammit, not get prednisone and his thyroid pill!) but he takes his evening dose of the thyroid pill like a champ. He goes back in two weeks for follow-up.

Ra had his first adventure boarding at the vet while we were gone over Easter weekend. We weren't sure how that was going to go, as he HATES being at the vet for any reason. The techs said the first day was rough on him (and them, I imagine) but he chilled out by day two and was actually soliciting pettins from the techs and the vets whenever they passed by his cage after a bit of time! Gives us faith that he'll be a good boy when we board him next time we go out of town...At least we hope!
