In life we can so easily take things too seriously. Of course, there are many things in life that are serious, but the lighter that we can be in our lives the happier we can be. Which is likely why cats and birds, two of the lightest creatures relative to their size, are some of the happiest creatures on the planet, well, except for when they are not. But when they are, it is a level of elation that we could only hope to experience.

But what that means for us feline fanatical hoomans is that whenever we need, we can indulge our eyeballs in a little cat child comedy and relieve the stresses and weight of our daily lives. Which is why we made this list of fabulous feline funnies, such that it will be here and present for you when you find yourself in need of a good giggle.

What would we do in a world without cat memes? Well, someone would have to invent this concept, because it's pretty hard not to combine the pure hilarity of cats and the virality potential of internet memes. If we've lived in a world where cat memes don't exist, they'd have to be invented at some point, this way or another.

But what about a world that doesn't have either cats or memes? First of all, we refuse to think of a world with no cats. But a world with no memes? That was true for most of history. We're surprised stone-chiseled cat memes were not a thing before the memes on the internet came into existence. So yes, we really think that in a world where cat memes didn't exist - they would exist. In one way or another. At some point in time.

Think about how lucky we all are to live in a time where funny cat memes don't just exist - they practically rule the internet with an iron fist. So why not enjoy some silly feline funnies while we're at it?

There are two things that will always make us happy if you give them to us: chocolate and cats. We will never not be happy if you show up randomly with either of those two things. Now, we already have four cats at home, so a fifth cat might end up being a bit of a shock, but we would never say no to a kitty in need. Especially if you rescued the poor thing from neglectful neighbors or something like that. So when we saw this story of a boyfriend surprising his cat-loving girlfriend with an itty bitty kitten, we couldn't not share it with you.

This girlfriend has always wanted a cat, but could never have one. Her family wouldn't allow it, then she lived with roommates, then in an apartment where pets were not purrmitted, but now, she and her boyfriend are finally living in their own place (congratulations!). For this anniversary, he wanted to pick out the purrfect present, and decided to surprise her with the kitten below. This, gentleman, is how you do it right.

In our defense… we have seen a whole lot of stories about cats coming in between people in relationships. We really have. We've seen people unable to handle being "second" to the cat in relationships. We have seen people tell their partners that it's either them or the cat. We have even seen people - uneducated, strange, inconsiderate people - call their partners unhygienic because of their cats - because kissing their little foreheads is apparently gross or something. It happens. It happens all the time, and people break up with their partners because of pets all the time too.

So, when we saw a viral post online about a boyfriend telling the world that his girlfriend calls his cat ugly… we believed it. We didn't think it could turn out to be one of the most wholesome stories that we have seen in a while. We are glad that we were fooled. We are glad that we were surprised. And we are so glad for this cat, who could have been stuck in a shelter for many more years, that he found loving owners like these two.

There's something that works in purrfect harmony in the combination of love, cats, and memes. This wholesome triangle of cuteness and comedy is a goldmine of pawdorable and whimsical moments you can experience. This type of cat memes, the love-struck feline funnies kind, are the perfect memes for a loving couple to look at while they're in bed before going to sleep, scrolling on their phones, while their cat is nuzzled up to them, purring like a lawn mower. Sending some romantic cat memes to your significant other is a pure expression of love - especially if you're both cat people.

So what makes this combination of concepts so harmonious? Well, love is romantic and tender, memes are whimsical and hilarious, and cats are the purrfect balance of coo-coo and cute. This is why romantic cat memes are this purrfectly harmonious combination that results in some of the most wholesome cat memes out there. Try them yourself - grab your significant other, grab your cat, tuck them to bed, cuddle them, and show them these memes.

If you've never woken up in the middle of the night to something crashing and breaking in the middle of the night, have you ever really owned a cat? One of the first things you learns as an owner of a fluffy feline is that they are equally as chaotic as they are cute. They will snuggle with you one second, then zoomie off into another room at the speed of light and start climbing your curtains like their own purrsonal jungle gym. And yet, we still love them.

Cats are not like dogs. Dogs are trainable - you can train a dog to be a better pet. Cats, not so much. Sure, they can be taught a few things, but they're going to remain a cat their whole lives, meaning they will be both your angel and your devil. It's part of the package, you have to take the feisty with the fluffy. If you don't believe us, we have plenty of cute and chaotic cat memes as evidence for our point. But for now, enjoy these hissterical pictures of cats being absolute agents of adorable anarchy. Or, for short, cats just being cats.

We love big cats. We love big cats so much it's not even funny. We want to pet one. We want to hug one. We want to be friends with… all of them. But we understand that it's not possible. We understand that wanting something does not mean that you should have it. And we can live with that knowledge, because we understand that this kind of friendship is forbidden to all humans, that this is a pain we have to share.

Except not. Except that some humans are luckier than others. Some humans become friends with lions, even though that's not supposed to be allowed. And some humans get to cuddle with cheetahs and be fine, completely fine. And some humans have caracals nagging them while they are working from home. And this person got to become friends with a random wild bobcat that showed up in their house, and you know what? We're done. When is it going to be our turn to become a Disney princess? Please…

Oh, the classic cat vs. cohabitation showdown. Here's a pawrent who's torn between love for their girlfriend and love for their lifelong feline sidekick. The girlfriend's spotless, no-pet palace clashes with the cat's fuzzy, unconditional affection, leaving this hooman stuck between furever loyalty and relationship goals.

It's pawsitively heart-wrenching! Giving up a cat isn't just about handing over a pet; it's like losing a piece of your soul who's been through thick and thin. And yet, living separately isn't forever either, so the choice feels like a catastrophe either way.

Plus, the fear of resentment lurking if the cat has to go? Totally relatable. No one wants to trade true love for a fur-free home and end up clawing their own heart out later.

Maybe this calls for some creative compromise. Like a pet-free shared space and keeping the cat's kingdom separate. Or a pause on moving in until everyone's on the same page.

Either way, this is one emotional tug-of-war between paws and partnership, and it shows just how much furry friends really do mean family. Whatever happens, here's hoping the hoomans and the kitty find a happy middle ground.

What started as a simple coffee run after a late night out turned into a full-blown purrsuit of kindness when one animal lover heard tiny mews near the road. While sipping his iced coffee, he spotted a box and discovered two teeny-weeny furballs inside, cold and crying.

At first, he pawsed, unsure if he was ready to handle this kind of rescue mission. But after a bit of pacing and some serious clawsideration, he decided to do the right thing. He scooped up the kittens and headed to a trusted vet, enlisting the help of a friend and fellow cat dad on the way. The vet confirmed they were around a week old, both boys, and in decent shape aside from being a little chilly.

He searched every hardware store for a way to keep them warm. No kitten around, it was tough. Just when hope was starting to fade, his mom pointed to a lamp with the exact bulbs he needed. Talk about a cattastrophic problem turned meowgical moment.

Now he's fully committed, setting up a cozy nest and stepping into his new role as proud pawrent of two purrfect surprises.

The middle of the week is upon us. Any beyond us being halfway to the weekend, this point in the week has likely got you feeling like you are either going to burnout or that you want to release a lot of feisty feline-like energy on those who have wronged you. And you know that we would much rather you indulge in the latter option.

So to help you figure out what your own brand of feline flavored revenge might look like, we made this list of mischievous memes of playful fur babies who are just kitten around. Well, they are not really, but if they say they are, then we can't get mad at them for what they do. It's a pretty nifty trick that we all stand to learn from and is especially useful if you are planning to unleash your frustrations on your coworkers, who have likely been the source of your sour mood.

Cats have a long history in the field of burglary. So much so that the top hooman burglars have been branded under the feline name. Though while the hoomans steal valuables, the original cattos were only clawminals of food. And those original cattos who earned the title of cat burglar have passed on their tradition to their descendants who to this day demand and steal food from us hoomans as often as they can. Usually this inspires a series of hilarious events or even an agreement between cat and hooman kind over what food is acceptable to be 'stolen'.

And that is exactly what we have lined up for you in this hissterical list of feline pawrents sharing their tales of kitten food cravings. Just make sure you are not eating something while scrolling, or you will not be able to stop your own cat child from clawing at your plate.

We know what it is to have our lives run by cats. And you probably know as well, you cheeky cat pawrent. Your cat dictates most of your life, if not all of it, no? We know, you don't need to hide this fact. You're in good company, all our lives are run by cats here. And we're not ashamed. On the contrary - we're happy that cats rule us, we're their subject, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Since you adopt a cat, the cat dictates the schedule of the house. If your cat decides it's time to sleep - they'll meow until you agree. If your cat decides it's snack time - they'll walk right between your legs to direct you towards the kitchen. If your cat decides anything, you should probably do so. But let's admit it, it's not like we don't like it - we love to be the subjects of our royal feline monarchs.

And since we celebrate cats around here, specifically with memes, we gathered some truly funny cat memes for all of us humans who are ruled by cats.

What is the one thing you can't stand that other cat owners do, feline fam? Some are furriously against declawing, some don't let their four-legged friends into the bedroom, and some keep their cats as indoor/outdoor cats, among many other things. This last one is our purrsonal pet peeve. There are so many dangers in the outside world for a house cat, especially for ones that are unfixed. Sorry, we stand corrected, the thing that annoys us the most is when people don't fix (as in make sure they can't reproduce) their cats, and the second is letting unfixed cats roam around and still calling them "your cat".

When you get a pet, you take on the responsibility of its safety as your highest priority. If they really want to go outside, train them on a harness or get a catio. Otherwise, things like what happened in the story below will happen to your cat. A kindhearted neighbor thought he was helping a stray that took a liking to him, only to realize that he "rescued" someone else's cat. Read the whole story below!
