A couple of hours in the guest room with Diva and her food bowl did the trick--most of her breakfast kibble is eaten. I managed to get a some extra sleep, too, which I was hoping to do.

So, at least this works for the morning feed. Now I gotta wonder how the evening feed is going to work, because our normal time to feed is right before bed. I don't want to spend a couple of hours in the guest room with her right before bed. I guess I'll have to feed her earlier, like around 1800 or something and see what happens.

Thing is, what do we do when we have guests? As I've said before, we were hoping to have J's parents for a visit sometime soon, and a friend from the east coast is coming to visit after Christmas. Don't know how much time that gives us to figure out how to get Diva to eat in a timely manner in the kitchen where she used to eat before she crashed just fine. :/

We've only been at this for less than a day and I'm already supremely frustrated. I'm pretty sure J's frustrated too; mostly with me and maybe a little with the cat. I think he thinks I worry too much about what she's eating and how freaked out I get and not really knowing what to try doing. I don't know--didn't have time to ask him. I don't want this whole thing to cause stress on our relationship...UGH!

What a clusterfuck this is right now!! I was hoping things would be easy. I guess my hope was not based in reality...This is gonna continue to be a difficult journey... :/
