Just got off the phone with Dr. B and explained how she's been eating the past several days; eating her breakfast alright, but dawdling over her other meals and sometimes not finishing same despite having two half doses of the appetite stimulant on board.

He says even with strictly indoor cats, they can be adversely affected by the extreme weather, which affects the amount they eat. This is particularly true of elderly cats. He says if she's eating a good breakfast, still eating at least something the rest of the day, and pooping and peeing she's probably just fine. He also reminded me that, as she continues to age, her attitude towards food is going to naturally get a little less enthusiastic as she needs less food/fuel to live now because she's much less active.

I thought of all these factors, as they've come up in the past, so this news was of no surprise to me. I just needed reassurance that my perceived reasons were indeed the likely cause. I don't want my girl to be sick and need care and me not take action...

Ah, life with chronically ill elderly cats... :/
