klutz strikes again...

Fell down in the kitchen Wedsnesday night, managed to break left wrist in the process...

Was able to get an appointment with a hand/wrist guy yesterday, who discovered my bones were about 20-25 degrees out of alignment. He was able to fit me into his surgical schedule this morning. Ended up being a simple closed reduction of the bones back into place; no surgery needed! Still, glad I was knocked out for it, though.

Am in pain, but it's easily controlled with the low dose Vicodin I was prescribed both Wednesday night and today--got more than enough, I think.

I'm to fly to Alabama for my bestie's PHD ceremony next Thursday...that could be interesting/challenging. No way in hell I'm calling off the trip--watched her receive her BA and MA, not gonna miss The Big One!!

Typing with one hand is a pain in the arse!!! :/ That being said, I likely won't be updating over here much until I regain better use of my left hand. Will be reading, though! And, as ever am on facebook most of the time and also Google+. Hit me up on private message if you want my info for either if you don't already have it. :)
