Well, the Kersting family had quite a stressful night last night. I was at mom's house online and my Aunt Darlene, who's staying with her, comes in and tells me that mom was saying she was extremely dizzy and felt like she was going to be sick. So I run out there and she's on the couch looking absolutely horrible--all flushed and sweaty. I ran and got a pan in case she got sick, which she did. Over and over again. She said every time she opened her eyes the room spun very fast and she couldn't make it stop. So I called her doctor, explained what was going on, and he said to take her down to the hospital to get checked out.
Well, she was so overcome by dizziness that she was unable to move, so we had to call 911 for help. The poor woman was so embarassed on top of everything else! My brother and I waited forever to be allowed back to see her...and, of course, being a Saturday night...ugh! Lots of freaky people to watch in the waiting room and be annoyed with.
Anyway...Doctor says she had a severe case of vertigo and some lung irritation from the surgery on top of that. She was admitted for observation because despite ativan and an anti-nausea drug, she was still spinny and nauseated to a degree. She may come home today, but I'm thinking it'll most likely be tomorrow. Healing thoughts, good vibes, prayers, etc. would be greatly appreciated...
